The Dodos - Time To Die

Picture
After releasing Visiter, following up their debut record Beware of the Maniacs, The Dodos had established themselves as a unique and ecentric duo to sweep up the indie rock scene. With their hit “Fools” (which later got abused by Miller Chill), The Dodos became an amazing duo that brought a unique sound of percussion and guitar complimented with imaginative lyrics. In 2009 Meric Long and Logan Kroeber were joined by vibraphonist Keaton Snyder and went to the studios to record their new album, Time to Die. The full-time addition of Snyder is instantly noticeable throughout all of the songs. This third dimension of sound produces a whole new sound to the band, all while maintaining Meric’s lofty-sounding vocals. After one listen, I became addicted to the sounds and melodies of all the tunes, and will for sure be keeping this album on heavy rotation on the record player.
